BROKEN - by Peppy Barlow

BROKEN is the intriguing conclusion to the family trilogy that includes MOTHERING SUNDAY and MISSING.

BROKEN is in a place between love and hate, life and death, illusion and reality. She is guarding what is left of the family inheritance. He comes armed only with his stories. The spirit of their dead sister breaks into the sterility of this landscape.

BROKEN was performed as a work in progress during PULSE Festival 2005, New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich. The cast, Dorothy Lawrence, Matt Brown & Rachel Sternberg, were directed by Anna Birch.

‘I love its brutal honesty and the way the story emerges via the deceptively childlike dialogue.
